Sam Cleveland joins the 3d team with a decade of experience as a Division I athlete and successful coach in the Massachusetts lacrosse scene. An Arlington, MA native and 2015 graduate of The Rivers School, he played four years at Colgate University, starting nearly every game and earning All-Patriot League honors in 2018 as a midfielder. Since graduating from Colgate in 2019, he coached with the Fighting Clams and Littlenecks, later serving as a director for both after a stint working for a tech startup, developing an educational software company. He also serves as head coach at Lawrence Academy (ISL), a role he’s held for five years now. Over the past decade, as both player and coach, Sam has competed with and against much of the region’s top talent. He has coached high school and future college all-Americans, high level prep school lacrosse, town and youth programs, and everything in between. We’re excited to welcome Sam aboard – bringing his passion for the sport and coaching expertise to 3d New England!
